Considered one of the world’s most expensive luxury car, the Bugatti Veyron is well above a million dollars which explains why there are only 15 of such cars currently privately owned in the United States of America.

As you see from the clip above one of those owner, an unnamed Texas man was driving by a lake in Galveston, Texas when according to police reports was distracted by a low flying pelican, causing him to drop his phone and upon reaching down to grab it, ended up in the 3feet deep lake.

Apparently this Bugatti is fairly new, just purchased in October 2009, which makes me wonder who makes such purchases in a time of recession…
