Finally, Mr. Kanye Wests’ highly anticipated Louis Vuitton Sneakers were out today even though the rumor mail around the web said the release date had been pushed back towards the end of the year, but sorry you cannot buy them because they are already sold out everywhere.

The waiting list on these Louis Vuitton sneakers have been full since January so the most anyone can do right now is try to get on the waiting list and hope a few pairs become available, or get on eBay and hope someone has your size even though for shoes like these Louis sneakers, a mark up of 70 or even 100 percent is not unusual.

There are three different versions of Kanye’s Louis Vuitton sneakers,  the Mr. Hudson costs $840,  The Jasper goes for $990 to about $1,140,  and The Don goes for $870 to about $960.

If you look back a decade or two ago with hip hop music at a steady rise, and the whole attitude and fashion sense that came with it, you can see that urban fashion is directly linked with the culture.

Hip hop music and the culture itself is known for trend setting, meaning that it has the power to pursue massive amounts of people to look, act or even think a certain way.

Fashion is one of the biggest aspects of this culture. Many trends have come and gone, like wearing your jeans backwards {which I was never “in style” anyway} wearing a baseball hat with your outfit {Fitted hats}.

The one trend that is slowly but surely going out of style is baggy clothing. There was a time period especially in the southern states of America were urban fashion was thought of as extremely baggy jeans and tall t-shirts that reached almost to your knees. This was considered cool for a while and everybody was into it. Rappers dressed this way so their fans followed by doing the same.

Presently, the situation has changed. The new rappers are more edgy and style conscious. They wear and embrace more fitting clothing, some more fitting than others. A good and recent example will be Soulja boy pictured above, he exploded onto the hip hop scene with his hit song “crank dat”, and he was well known for his dancing, big t-shirts, baggy jeans, and trademark shades. Recently the new Soulja boy has been pictured wearing more fitting clothing {maybe with all his money he got a stylist}.

Rappers like Tyga and Kanye have been dressing this way for a while, but arguments can be made that other rappers like Pharrell Williams and even Jim Jones greatly influenced this switch in urban culture.

This phenomenon has also changed the way urban fashion designers design and showcase their clothing to their buyers. Their clothes are slimmer and promote more of a gentleman’s look, not that of a thuggish individual. Follow Me
